Tour Plan

Day 1 Marrakech – Agdz – Tamegroute – M’hamid – Erg Lihoudi

We pick you up from your Riad/hotel at 8 am, we cross the High Atlas Mountains by the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, with an altitude of 2260m (7417ft) in the direction of Erg Lihoudi Dunes, via Tizi-n-Tnifift pass, arriving in Agdz which is located on the ancient caravan route connecting Marrakech to Timbuktu in Mali. Continuation through the spectacular Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees. On the way, we stop at the 11th century religious center of Tamegroute to visit an old Coranic library as well as the town’s popular green pottery factory. Once in Mhamid, your camel is awaiting you for a once-in-a-lifetime 1-hour long trek while watching the sunset to spend a night under the stars in a Berber desert camp.

Day 2 Erg Lihoudi – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

With an early morning to catch the fabulous sunrise, a tasty breakfast in the middle of the dunes, we hit the road back to Marrakech. On the way, we stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a well-preserved Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site to enjoy a 1-hour tour. Several films and tv-shows have been shot on this site, such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Jewel of the Nile (1985), Gladiator (2000), Alexander (2004), and Game of Thrones (2013). We cross once again the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech.
