Ourika Valley

Overview

Ourika Valley is Marrakech’s most popular day trip among Moroccans looking to escape the fast pace of the city for tranquility and beautiful scenery. We leave Marrakech and travel south to the High Atlas Mountain with a few stops along the way to take photos. The path follows the river, passing through many Berber hamlets founded on the hillside of the valleys. On the way, we will drive through T’nin Ourika village, which is the nerve center of the entire Ourika Valley region, Where people come weekly to the Berber Market (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays) to sell their goods, buy their needs, and exchange gossips.

Alongside your guide, you can spend several hours walking around the area, hike upstream to the waterfall, watch the wild monkeys that inhabit this area and visit a herb garden where you are served traditional mint tea by locals before we go for lunch in a restaurant within the river and finally drive back to Marrakech.
