Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you’ll be met by a trusted Limitless Nomad’s driver who will assist you with your luggage and drive you to your Riad.

You can spend the rest of the day relaxing at your accommodation, or head out to begin exploring the city, or try a mint tea in one of the many cafes overlooking the main square of Jamaa El Fna.

Day 2 Marrakech Guided Tour – Imlil

Alongside your local guide, today we will discover the mysteries of “The Red City” of Marrakech. During our visit, we will see the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, The Bahia Palace, and get lost in the narrow streets and alleyways of the Medina with its colorful Souks and skilled Artisans. Wrap up your visit to Marrakech in Djamaa El Fna Square, an open-air theater and restaurant active with its storytellers, performers, snake charmers, water seller, and food carts.

Then we head to the high Atlas Mountain via Tahnaout and Asni for an overnight in Imlil.

Day 3 Imlil – Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge

After a quiet night in the village, we meet our mountain guide and muleteer, get all the necessary gear and start our ascent. We go through Armed (1900m / 6200 ft) then into the holy shrine of Chamharouch (2500m / 8200 ft) for a lunch break by the river, then continue our ascent progressively to Toubkal’s Refuge (3206m / 10518 ft) after approximately 5 hours walking. Dinner and overnight at the refuge.

Day 4 Toubkal refuge – Toubkal summit – Marrakech

At the crack of dawn, we start our ascent towards the summit. We take the south cirque route above the refuge through a barrage of rocks. The walking is generally straightforward, but the elevation and screen will make the ascent quite challenging in some parts, before reaching the plateau from where it’s a short walk to the highest summit in North Africa (4167m / 13671 ft). At the summit, we will have unrestricted views in every direction, from Marrakech’s Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. We will backtrack our steps and return to the refuge for lunch, then proceed towards Imlil prior to driving back to Marrakech.

Day 5 Free day (Explore Marrakesh at your own pace)

You’ll have the whole day to explore Marrakech. Relax by the pool, visit Majorelle Garden, enjoy a cooking class, or experience a Moroccan Hammam and SPA to freshen up your skin, clear your mind.

Day 6 Departure

Unfortunately, our journey has come to an end, hopefully with lots of stories and memories. we will arrange a private transfer to the airport according to your flight details.

Note: This trek can be extended to 2 nights at the refuge with the option to climb nearby peaks such as Ouankrime (4068m /13346 ft), Tizi Melloul / Taghraghart Plateau (4000m / 13123 f), or a night in Imlil or Armed instead of going back to Marrakech, also it’s possible to spend a couple of days training before the ascent if you have any trouble with altitude, or simply you would like to discover the surrounding valleys and crossing high passes before the ascent.
